Re: The Beginning

Bracer, I know I know. I can't believe it's been that long either. Most people who know me think I sold the car years ago...lol. Good news is the knuckles are back together and on the car and the Mugen RNR's now fit over the brakes with the 10mm H&R wheel spacers and ARP extended wheel studs. I just...

Re: The Beginning

Yes, they are ARP extended wheel studs. I want to run my 15" Mugen RNR wheels but the backspacing on the spokes of the wheels didn't correspond with the 11" rotors and Wilwood Dynalite 4 piston calipers. They interfered with one another so I bought some H&R wheel spacers to push the wheels out away ...

Re: The Beginning

Just picked up the front knuckles from being bead blasted, etched and powdercoated. Tonight I will be installing new Honda OEM outer tie rods, front wheel bearings, lower ball joints, dust shields all new hardware and ARP studs in the original hubs. I'll take pictures to post up when its all done. J...

Re: The Beginning

I found a perfect place for the EDFC controller. Gone is the oem clock. I thankfully found a factory clock block off plate in blue on ebay and bought it. Then I trimmed it so that the controller would fit. All of the taps needed for the controller are found on the clock leads, ground, ign power, con...

Re: 91 Hatch, Having an issue with Code 16

Also the way the DPFI system works is that it has 2 injectors firing into a common throttle body. One injector is the main the other is the auxiliary. Under normal circumstances when driving regularly and cruising only the main injector is being used regularly with the auxiliary injector firing when...

Re: 91 Hatch, Having an issue with Code 16

The symptoms you are describing exactly match what many with 4g civics have had in the past. I can speak from experience as it happened to me. After driving or having the car sit in the warm heat of summer it would either not start or when I would drive it, shut it down and then attempt to restart i...

Re: The Beginning

For those who doubted this project would ever get going again... Progress. I know it doesn't look like much but this is what was finished today: Canon plug for Rywire quick disconnect mounted to firewall, alternator, starter and fuse box wires made and run, Tein EDFC stepper motors installed and wir...

Re: Still around....

I'll be working on it this weekend. Hope to make some significant progress. I have to get it done, lots of guys my age around here who have long ago hung up the keys to their projects or put them away for storage are making a comeback and are showing up on the street again with their cars. When I tu...

Re: Still around....

Well, yesterday marked the end of the project with turbocharging my friends 2006 S2000. Unfortunately he isn't able to enjoy all the money and work that went into modifying it. His wife is going to be having his first son and knowing that he won't be able to drive it much and needing the cash he has...

Re: The Beginning

Not dead... just postponed for now. Life brings unexpected things, in this case my son who was born 6-26-2011. As a consequence I have not been able to work on it as much and I have been working almost every weekend repairing someones car to make ends meet. The most recent long term project which ha...
