Power Locks and Windows kit

Anyone have any experience with this universal kit, or a kit like this? Would love to have power windows and locks in my 1990 Civic Hatch. Just want to get some opinions before I buy. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Power-Roll-Up-Window-4-Door-Lock-Conversion-Kit-Keyless-Entry-Auto-Car-Truck-/221799644911...

Re: Adding cruise control to hatch back

I thought about doing this awhile back in my hatch, but never got around to doing it. I did find this write up on how to add cruise control using a 4th gen sedan set up, though, which is pretty detailed.

Re: CEL codes 3 and 9

So yesterday afternoon when I got home from work, I started the car up with no problems and the CEL did not turn on. I drove 2 miles and it drove really well. When I parked, I checked the ECU and it was still blinking the codes 3 and 9, but again, no CEL on the cluster. Also, the car drove really we...

Re: CEL codes 3 and 9

I live North of Sacramento, CA. The air is pretty dry up here, but there is morning condensation on the windshield.

Re: CEL codes 3 and 9

I was just looking into this issue online and it looks like it could be connected to the IAT. I do notice that I do have to crank the car a little longer to get it started in the mornings than in the afternoon. Also, that coul be throwing my CEL 3 code. What do you guys think? I got a new sensor fro...

Re: CEL codes 3 and 9

Ok, went to start the car this morning and as I drove down the block, the CEL came on again. As I was going to be late for work, I drove back home, dashed into my other car, then took off. I didn't get to look at the codes, but I am sure they are probably the same ones. Question, I noticed that when...

Re: CEL codes 3 and 9

Went to start the car today, it hadn't been driven in a week, and it started right away. I moved forward and the CEL was not on. I then went in reverse and it was fine. I drove around the neighborhood and the car had plenty of power and ran great. I then left for a couple of hours and when I came ba...

Re: CEL codes 3 and 9

Wow, thanks so much for your help/ advice. This has been bugging me and your help is greatly appreciated. In terms of my engine set up, everything is stock, except that I converted to MPFI a year ago. As for the motor mounts, I have the original ones in and they look to be pretty stiff. When I drive...

CEL codes 3 and 9

Hello, My 1990 Civic STD, converted to MPFI, has been running really well until a couple of days ago. I noticed that when I started the car in the morning the CEL would come on once every couple of months. I would turn the car off, then the CEL would not come back on and it would be all good. A coup...

Re: Wont start till i let go of key!

I am also not sure that I understand your question either. But, if I am interpreting it correctly, you try to start your car, it doesn't turn over the first time. You turn it to the off position and then try to restart again, then it starts? If that is the case, I had that problem too. I realized th...

Idle issue

Hi All, My 1990 Civic STD runs well, but at times the idle runs low. Half the time it idles around 750 rmps, but the other half it is at 500. Sometimes, for no reason, it will dip to around 400, but only for a second or 2. This does not happen frequently, happens maybe once every 2 weeks. I don't kn...

Re: Part Source?

We've got a bunch of 4G Civics in our yards here in CA. I am planning on going tomorrow, I can look for those covers. Are sedans the same as hatch ones? I have not taken mine off my hatch.

Re: Ignorant Question

I just changed mine recently because the dizzy died on me while driving on the freeway, not fun at all. Once home I took the dizzy off and tried to move the rotor, it would not budget. I then looked at the cap and it was extremely dirty. I cleaned it really well, and then tried to take the rotor off...

Re: Idle issue

Thanks for the info Sandman. I adjusted the idle screw this weekend, per the instructions from the Civic Manual and it worked well for a day, idle at 750 rpms. Then, when I drove to work the next day (30 miles), the idle seemed to adjust itself back to 500 rpms and it started shaking again. I just r...

Idle issue

Hello, Not sure if this is a big problem, but would like to get some advice. I have a stock 1990 Civic base model. The engine ran well and I had no problems. It would idle at 750rpms and it was smooth. I then swapped it to MPFI, and had a bunch of idle issues and CEL lights on. I then converted back...
