Ghmmm... I've been slacking off updating my topic!
First off, the suspension is on and I just got my hands on some brake lines. We'll see if these live up to their reputation. The image are dropbox links because the forum will brake the pictures. I'll try to get it past inspection soon(ish). I've got a track day next month and it's been far too long. :)

At the moment I've got a few small things I want to get done. updates as I get things done and manage to post. ;D

Well the brake lines are on. But I noticed I've run out of brake fluid so I need to get some next week(or rather this week since it's 00:43am) and bleed the system. I was surprised nothing was stuck, everything opened without any issues. I suppose the system will explode when I get it out of the garage. :D

ok, so it wasn't as simple as I thought. one of the bleed nipples was broken on the rear caliper. Had to hunt for a new one, bleed the system 3 times to get all the air out(or so it seems). I adjusted the valves, tightened the alternator belt and changed the oil/filter.

Looks like this old girl just might pass inspection soon(ish). :)
I also need to find a place that has the red detailing tape on sale. My old source went out of business.

Update time!
I've been postponing this since there has been an issue with pictures. In any case, the may track day was a complete success. The new suspension worked like a charm and the back end was way more stable than it used to be. The weather was awesome and all together we had a damn good day.

A couple of shots from the track taken by a few friends of mine. And so the copyright to the pictures is theirs. Though keep in mind. I didn't have the time to wash the car. It has a good few months worth of dust on it

On my way out to the track.

Braking for a hairpin, the so called Las Palmas turn of the Alastaro track.
You get to about 150kmh(93mph) before you slam on the brakes.

We also found a little bit of rust under the front cross member that runs between the chassis rails. We took the cross member off to find that when I had a friend of a friend fix these he did a poor job. So we decided to put in a larger patch to fix the poor job he did. They dug up the yard in front of the garage so I had time to check the other side I'm currently working on it - however our welder broke so I have to wait for it to get back from warranty repair.

The cross member right out of the car.

Cleaned up and painted. By no means it's perfect. And I didn't grind it back to bare metal. But it is now better than it was.

Patch panel in the car, painted and rust proofed. Again, not perfect. But better than the "pro" that fixed it before.

And a shot a friend took while I was working on a patch panel. Back seats thrown in the car for the upcoming inspection.

Nice when a topic comes full circle, and you have to re-repair the original repair.
The hatch is still looking good as always, and it is nice to see it getting properly used.
That being said, there is possibility for a driveway, or maybe even garage in my future (in the next year anyway)
Possible project space? Your thread continues to inspire me. ;)
And will an acura crx seat on the 90's era fit my 90 dx?

Thank you! Means a lot to me! It feels like a never ending battle.
Having my own place to work in has been a real booster on my morale to get my hatch back on the road. Some times I have felt like I've given my ZC all I can. But keeping work on it to a minimum helped. Even if it was forced by the situation at the time. But boy did it feel good to get back in and throw her around the track for the first time in over a year. :)

I hope you get that garage. It's worth it. :)

The other side is in. Just put on some zinc paint. Gonna wait for it to dry, put on some black paint and put it all together again.

I forgot to update.

Anyhow. It's been on all 4 for a few weeks now. Got it painted, rustproofed and put back together. Now all I need to do is some adjusting and I can finally get it inspected. I've had to put it off due to a lack of time and money(unexpected expenses on the VN 1500). I also got some proper red detailing tape meant for cars. Since the stuff I used on the side moldings wasn't meant for this use italways turned yellow by time and hopefully this stuff is UV protected.

And Tursaanpoika(some of you may remember him, member of the forum) can stop BITCHING about the yellow tape. :D

Back in one piece.

Back on all 4. As you see the tape turns yellow and starts peeling off.

Let's see how well this stuff holds up.

As I posted in the "what have you done" topic the car passed inspection. A friend of mine took some shots yesterday after I was done washing it. :)

Looking good as always. Do I see Toyo R1R tires 8) Love those tires, they work great in Autocross but never used them on a circuit, how did they perform?
I use them in the Street Touring class which has a minimum tread wear rule at 140 (which is what the R1R's are) I have mine shaved down to 4/32", they are way stickier when you shave them down like that. There is a rule change effective Jan 1, 2015. The new rule changes the minimum tread wear to 200, meaning I will no longer be able to use the R1R tire on my Honda Fit >:( Have to find another tire with a 200 tread wear.
On my 91 Civic I can use full race slicks, no worries there. I will call upon Avon A11's, they seem to be proven in my class.

Thanks :)
R1R's are exactly what you're seeing.

They performed way better than I expected them to. The grip versus the old tires I had is just way better. Even in the wet these perform way better than the old regular tires I've had. Though there is a difference in where and how the old regular tires loose grip versus the R1R's. The limit is way later ofc. and where the regular tires would start to give you hints that you're reaching the limit of grip these just loose grip suddenly.

The rear suspension upgrade improved the stability even more so now it has decent grip and it's stable through the faster corners. I will have to look in to a proper bucket seat and some "suspenders" since as it is now I'm having to wedge myself in place with my knees in the corners. Though this has been the plan for a good number of years, I've never gotten around to that.
