speedo/gauge cluster

Post by zloetakoe »

I now have a 1990 RTAWD civic.
The speedometer on this new one makes a buzzing sound if it's really cold and even though I know I'm only driving 40mph, it will show 70-80 mph. I think it's the gears in the speedometer going bad. was going to get a new cluster, BUT it looks like there are a couple different gauge clusters available for the 4g? one has very rounded edges and one has straight edges. Anyone know if these are compatible? I wouldn't think they are.

The main difference is the years they came in- 88-89 and 90-91. They are not plug and play since the pins are reversed for the facelift ones. That difference aside they do mix(but not work straight in obviously)

No problem :)
Easiest way to get a plug and play ís to go with your age(facelift or pre-faceliftr). We found out this pin thing with a friend and a 4G.com member tursaanpoika quite some years back :)
