Several spambots have manifested here, anything to do registration-wise to stop that?

Difficult, blocking the possibility of adding links in post to new users would be a good idea but that will affect many real new members.

I looks like the bots have beaten the captcha. When a new phpBB version is released I think it will ok again.. for a while. Meanwhile we'll just delete the posts and accounts spamming.

How about adding a question that changes continously to the registration for example, what is the color of grass or what is the name of our site, etc. Generally that's good for evading bots, real spammers will sort it out obviously.
