2012 U.S. Presidential Election.

Post by freydaddy »

Still dont know who to vote for. Republican? Democrat? Independent?
Republicans want to fix the economy by giving the richest people in America a tax break? ???
Democrats support gay marriage, partial birth abortion, and hand out health insurance. Obama wishes everyone made the same salary. Democrats want to leave God out of America.
Republicans want to use "God" as a stepping stool to get more votes.

I am so ready to move to another continent...Australia or something.

Although we are a US territory and are heavily taxed by the federal gov., serve in the armed forces, have all the federal agencies here, etc. we can't vote for the president Image.
But anyway with the history made by the last 3-4 republican presidents plus the behavior and actions of their current candidate, one has to be a real fanatic or wish the worst by voting for him. I don't have any doubt, he will not do a thing for the economy, he will not make the country safer and he will help "conservative hardliners" (nice title for religious extremists) to keep creeping up on everything.
Obama for another term, that's 4 "more years" ::)

Politics are a like fcking circus, you know what they are about but hope to see something different each time, you have laughs, feel bored sometimes, wish for something different or better and in the end you go out feeling "whatever" about it and your pockets empty.

Looking at this from a distance, I don't get why anyone would vote for anyone badmouthing the other candidate(s). IMO a person representing the people should behave accordingly.

I have been toying with the idea of moving home for more than the last decade, especially about every four years...of course the current conditions in my country make that seem like a pretty assenine idea right about now.

The problem is no matter who you vote for, they are working for the same people, and it aint' you or me ::)

Europe is very pro Obama. There was a poll in my country asking: If the election for US president was held here who would you vote for? 82% would vote Obama. Obama is popular or we just don't like Romney, don't know.. ;)

Straight up bullshit :-\
This is what pisses me off about the right, they just make shit up and throw it out there, figuring Americans are too ignorant to use common sense.
First off, the presidentcan't actually spend anything. That is up to congress.
Secondly, the war costs from 2000-2009 where for some strange reason, ommited from the deficit reports ???
Thirdly, The three fiscal year budgets under Obama where only on average about 10% more than the last four years of GWB's presidency, which remember does not include the estimated 3-4 trillion dollars spent on the war effort.
Also, for some strange reason, under the Obama regime, war costs where once again mysteriously added to the deficit amount.
These numbers also seem to ignore that the deficit has outpaced inflation for tha last 25 years.

Look, they are both ass-holes, but only one camp has come out and said straight-out that they are "not going to let their campaign be dictated by fact checkers" ::)
