It's downright horrible to ride. But for about two dollars I'm not gonna complain too much. :D

knuckle brass stencil, done.

decided to go with flat white mainly for these reasons: simplicity of the build, it keeps the flat theme, and less hassle, no dealing with gloss paint when the frame gets hit with the matte clear.

there's a bit of overspray. not to worry. it will be covered with a fresh coat of paint before the final matte clear coat.
yay.

Reeaaal gooood stuff, 'cause my stuff aint bad, and I STILL don't get it... :happy6:
Bike is looking sick btw...I miss the days of building bikes in my parents garage, just gave away my last 20" a few years ago. I don't think I have any digital photographic documentation of any of my bikes :(
And will an acura crx seat on the 90's era fit my 90 dx?

update.

finally i was able to matte clear spray the frame, fork and handlebar. previously i wetsanded a bit and resprayed.

i used this:

Image

at first i was kinda wary on using this. but it has proven me that it works. don't agitate it or tilt it past 45 degrees though!

and here is the outcome:

Image

fork, frame and handlebar are left baking under the island sun. tomorrow i might wetsand again, this time with 2000 grit and recoat with matte clear. then leave curing until saturday when it will be assembled.
yay.
