Aftermath Hatch's Build Thread...

Hey guys,ok here's my build. Got myself a 91' hatch STD,I've had her for about two years didn't do anything with her the first year because I was working on another car,converted RHD crx....sold it which you will see in pics. Well now it's the hatch's turn,got the hatch for free for fixing a guys stereo in his hatch he just didn't want it,needless to say now he want's it back now...

Don't have alot of pics when I first got her this is the oldest I got,I put the rims and lowered soon as I got her...

Well my first order of thing to do was some paint...

Got her ready just in time to go to Scrapin da' coast in Mississippi this was 5 min. before we left. Left the paint and shop and headed there...put the mugen mr5's off of the rex to go to the show.

Ok on the inside started by putting a set of black leather GSR seats in her....

Then new carpet and some q-form kick panels....

After I got that done moved on to the headliner,did that in black suede...

Ok now went ahead put in a crx dash, integra cluster and s2k start button with a NRG wheel and quick release hub...

Also have put 8000k HID's and rear disc on her.Will put pics. of that up later with the new 15' rota grids on her...

I forgot the hood when she got painted got a VIS carbon fiber hood...

You would be surpised how easy it is to fit,wasn't hard at all.

Looks good. Looks like you got off easy bodywork wise. The color looks like the original color.

Beautiful build...I'm diggin the placement of the start button, and the gauges look great, :o was it a pain to wire up?

I'm digging everything on this build, specially the q-forms (rare to see these days, it seems everyone only wants to hear the engine and exhaust and no tunes ::) ), the rear da seats and the suede headliner. You put the suede yourself? Is it very expensive and...got more pics of it? :D

Thanx for all the good feed back guys, been on honda-tech to long and everybody is so negtive about everything it's good to here some nice words,anyway did the headliner myself cost me about $150.00 to do and about 2 hours time.As for as the motor still stock for now after I got her painted got to cought up with makeing her look nice.It has the stock 1.5 with a mind blowing 70 hp.....lol,but runs perfect for now.Haven't made a choice on a motor yet thinkin about a b18c5 are a k20a2 it will be awhile before this happen money wise so for now about to put her new rims and a good suspension set up on.Going to go down to a 15" rim instead of the 16" so I can get me a lil more tire.So here a pick of the rims came in last week 15" Rota Grids.......

I thought so. I just finished building mine and that shade looks just like the one I picked. Original Rio Red.
Though I had a bit more bodywork to be done. :D

Not alot of negativity here,(unless you're running 19" rims or a hood spoiler...lol) just a bunch of 4G fanatics.
You've done a great job making her "look nice". very clean, not over the top exterior, and the interior is drool worthy to say the least.
As far as the engine goes, sometimes its hard to part with an old engine, especially when its running right. I kept my tired old D15B2 for almost two years, cause I couldn't bare to part with 38mpg, and unlike your hatch, mine still looked like shit ;D

Looks like southernLA is good to cars, my car originally came from Georgia, and was mostly free of the rust that plagues every Honda here in NY, I see EK's on the road that have already started rusting. That being said, we have recently seen an IMACULATE si from Canada, so I guess it all depends on how the car was treated/stored.
