The D16 attempted suicide last night by trying to jettison the crank pulley bolt while I was headed home! Luckily I was able to pull over before the pulley came off, but not before destroying the crank key and damaging the keyway. Still, I was able to get a new key and able to slide it back in. It's almost like the car itself is becoming impatient of the B16 swap! just a couple more months!

This week, I did a 255 Walbro fuel pump, replaced the p28 sohc ecu with a P72 DOHC GSR ecu and replaced the LS dizzy with a GSR dizzy too.

No idea! I was banging on the control arms the day before, changing them out for a set that had poly bushings installed. The only thing I can fathom is the vibrations might have loosened it just enough...(?) I really don't have any idea.

Sounds weird. I mean you rly have to be determined to get it off to actually get it off.

From the factory, yes. Remember, I rebuilt/replaced this engine right after getting the car because it was locked up. That being said, before this, I have only ever had one other loosen up on me. That was way back when I started working on Honda's!

Hmmm haven't been on in a while 'cause the boss bought me a company car for my commute. My daughter has been driving the Civic though. Finally pried a few $$ out of the wife and put a new timing belt on her (twice really because the first time I couldn't break the crank pulley bolt loose), replaced both front axles (one was clicking), and ordered some new struts for the back. I haven't put the struts on yet because it got cold, but I will when a warm weekend shows up. She is over 280k now - and still being driven at least 4 times a week. I do miss rowing the gears as the work car is an auto :banghead:

New head, head gasket, timing belt, water pump, alternator belt, intake gasket, and a/c belt...new shocks/struts/coilovers in the mail and going to be putting my SI wheels with new tires on there after the 3 foot of snow melts around here on the east coast USA...but even with bald tires on the 13" steelies it walked right around it. Makes me wonder why I let the car sit for over a year. :/

I'm in Maryland, about an hour away from Baltimore. Today put my SI wheels with new tires on, still have to set valve lash this weekend, that should be a fun first time thing. I swore I never was going to swap it, but driving it again makes me rethink that statement. The d15b1 isn't cutting it anymore. Nice gas saver but thinking of rebuilding my d16z6 and dropping that in there. Idk, thoughts for later I guess lol.
