What did you do to your EF today?

Postby 90hatch268 » Fri Jul 18, 2008 11:56 pm

normal stickers add about 1 hp, the civic 4g sticker adds 5HP!!!!!!!
well, today i put coolant into my radiator, the plastic part that the hose to my overflow jug connects to is broke, so my car tends to get hot and shoot coolant out the hole :( , then on my way to work i was runnin late and didnt have time to put gass in my car, but i thought "screw it, i dont wanna run out of gas on the highway in 150degree heat!!" so i went to the gas station and poured some ethanol into my old tank....... i can tell a decrease in gas mileage  .

i'll let you know, i'm going to go look at it tomorrow, if i get it, i'll either set it aside for a future project, or i'll take what i need from it and part out the rest, and sell the shell on ebay. Unless one you guys wants to buy it after i take what i need, it's a good body, so there's no way i'd strip it and junk the shell 8)

Got off my ass last night and pulled the bad rack and pinion. I had a spare that I cleaned up. I bought Brand NEW Honda rack and pinion boots, boot clips, boot clamps, and outer tie-rod ends. I re-installed the rack with the existing Energy Poly mounting bushings. The car is sitting until Monday until the alignment shop is open.....
Thursday I bought two new Toyo Proxes4's.... that is what forced the rack/tierod job to go down.... I've had the parts sitting for a couple weeks....

tonight on my way back from the store i saw a bunch of cars at the autozone with the hoods popped. So iwent home and got my project car and drove up there. When i pulled up i saw a black 89 hatch. Talked to the guy for a while, he had a turbo b16a and a jdm front end, he liked what i had done with my car especially the clean wire tucked engine bay, he also knows the guy who has the crx i'm looking at tomorrow, turns out they're good friends, may i remind you how small hinesville GA is

it's good to finally meet some 4g enthusiast close by, they meet at the auto zone every saturday night,
he also told me that hinesville raceway is under construction and will be reopening soon, but it's only a 1/8 mile track not a 1/4 :( oh well it'll still be nice to go out and race on the weekends, kind of motivates me to get my tranny and suspension done 8)

well today i went and looked at the crx, it is trashed, the owner is cool though and he said he'd help me out anytime i need help with something. I told him i might buy the car for parts, he has someone else that said they'd pay 1500 for it buut they haven't done it yet, so he told me if he still has the car by the time i can afford it he'd sell it to me for cheap cheap, i told him he should keep the zc since his other car's zc is smoking really bad, i don't need the zc anyway, i just want the dash, console, rear disc brakes, and the throttle body (has map sensor on top of the throttle body, probally from a b18), and i might keep some other little various parts off of the car.
