injector size?

what is the best size injector to get for a turbo setup?
Can you just get a bigger injector and tune it for lower fuel? 550 cc?

The reason I am asking is that I am getting a few last items together for the setup

I had the same question when I was talking about my future setup. Though itt was unfortunately postponed by yours truly getting fired. The advice I got was to get big ones. They can be tuned and you won't run out later on when you go for more power(you will). I'm planning on 640cc.

from the many turbo setups I haven't seen a exact size, they all vary with the turbo size, target boost level and engine management unit used. In builds I see people using anywhere from dsm 450cc injectors to 1000cc ones. Have look at the build threads in h-t, realhomemadeturbo, superhonda, etc. and you will see. Also have a look at the guide posted in the index thread: http://www.beesandgoats.com/boostfaq/g2 ... Management

I'd just go whit the 1000cc injectors . If you'll want even more power in the future you won't have to change them again . Of course a standalone ECU might be necessary to control them .

Just depends on your power goal. You don't want to run the injectors at more than 80% of their capacity. You also don't want to run them too low either. Stock injectors are good to about 180whp. 550cc's will do you fine if your power goal is about 280whp or more.

question-
Could I use the 550 cc injectors on stock ecu (no tune)?
I figure it will only send 240 cc worth of fuel since thats what the computer is set for.
I got them for a future boost project, but wanted to go ahead and install them, since they are new.

Those will be plenty for your setup but as you mention without tuning they won't perform at best.

Maybe you have seen this site but just in case: http://turbod16.com/
plenty of setups and info there :)
