EK seats in a ED (91)

Postby freydaddy » Sat Nov 27, 2010 1:59 am

This was almost a direct swap. It will not work in the 88 model without swapping the pans.
3 of the 4 holes lign up without any alteration, just a little muscle.
heres a little comparison picture ouside the vehicle

the seat belt swap was pretty simple
before:Image
after:Image
here is a picture of the 2 front mounts
Image
this was the only customizing I had to do.
its 5/8 inch worth of washers and an extended bolt.
Image
the only noticeable modification
Image
Image
as you can see the 2000 seat sits a littler taller,
which actually gives you a little more leg room. ;D
and I like how the passenger side has the automatic slide when you release the back
Image
heres a front view after the installation
I can see a slight lean towards the center.
Nothing a few more washers can,t fix. 8)

Again 88 people are screwed :'( .

does the slight leaning to the center can be felt while driving? I mean like if you feel you are sitting not normally....

Anyway great mod, what ek does it came from? I think the 99-00 si seats are different than the rest. Indexed ;)

i havent driven it yet, and i plan on leveling the seats right.
i believe these seats were from a 2000 EX model
They are the same seats that are in my 2000 EX...identical.

Pretty straightforward:) You could always replace washers with a piece of tubing? If you can find any with that much wall on it:P
