CRX to Civic hatchback changeover

Postby Stringslave » Fri Sep 16, 2016 7:44 pm

I have a 91 CRX that has a B20 swap and was wondering, would it a direct bolt on to take everything from the CRX and put it into my 90 hatchback? Is the shift linkage and axles the same length? Also, I want to take the rear disc brakes, are the e-brake cables the same length?

the difference is, the crx is a si and the civic is a dx.
can I just modify the wiring harness using the plugs and cpu from the crx?

There are a lot of write up's on the interwebs that detail how to do this, here is one of the many. http://www.angelfire.com/d20/hcivic88/dx-siwiring.html You can also purchase a pre made harness from places such as http://hondaswapparts.bigcartel.com/product/88-91-honda-civic-crx-dpfi-to-mpfi-harness-conversion-dx-to-si-obd0 In short yes you can modify your existing DX harness to work with the new setup.
