You know you drive an ef when...

Postby el_jelly » Mon Mar 01, 2010 9:46 am

I saw this topic in another forum, lets see some of your hilariousness :D

You know you drive an ef when...
- you spend more than a $1000 in suspension components...even if the car is not worth a $1000.
- you have a perennial battle with rust
- driver seat side bolster has a hole you can fit your hand on it.
- you are always wondering, which is better a d-series or a b-series?
- you hunt down stuff in junkyards like there's no tomorrow.

You know you drive an ef when...

- You keep asking in forums if corner lenses, bumper lenses, fenders, hood or any other thing from the front can be swapped between the crx, hatch and sedan. And still forget it
- you fit parts from many other honda/acura models (dc center console, da brakes, eg rear lip, prelude seats, etc) and still call your car "stock"...

you know you drive an ef when....

-you spend five time as much of the purchase price on the car within the first year of owning it.

-you race a domestic muscle car, loose. then spend money until you can make them cry.

- you cry inside every time you see a riced out honda.

- you spend as much time thinking about what type/ viscosity of oil you should use, as your girlfriend (mine just recently cracked the shits with me about spending 'more' time with my car. but what she doesn't understand that they are in a constant competition for my love, and lets face it the 4G was here first :tongue3: )

- you never seem to have the same engine in your car for more than 3 years (i guess this comes down to my second point, the constant quest for more power, lol)

You have to turn your car off every time someone opens the passenger door to stop the seat belt chime.

That's for the US models only thank god. :D
No annoying bells, chimes or whistles for us Europeans.
Though volvo did do a seatbelt warning thing. Took out the bulb but the clicking sound is still there. :(

only way to solve that problem is unplug the plug in the rearview mirror and unplug those plugs under the seat and no more seat belt chime haha!

When you drive a 4g and you're buddies with all the other 4g owners in your area too...

You know you drive an ef when...

- you find a 4g in the junkyard full of parts and you feel like santa just came to town.
- you keep wondering what genius at honda decided that rear mirrors should not be able to be folded completely...only the sir has that joy and it's even powered :angryfire:
- everyone around ask you when you will buy a new car.
- you own a wagovan and, despite being also a 4g, you feel like the girl at the party that no one wants to dance with or kiss...everybody seems to own a hb, rex or 4dr. Which btw>
- you own a wagovan and feel pwned by aftermarket companies :(

You know you drive an ef when you don't have a radio or a/c but you are happy to live with that sound and fuel/oil smell of your twenty-something all-beaten d15/d16 under tha hood. ;D
