Welcome again eddie.
Being an honda owner for some time, have you any experiences with our fine police to share here?

Welcome Eddie, first off, congrats on the baby...I've got a 16 month old daughter, and life couldn't be better right now, (although I will admit, time is always short) I've gotta say, I've never seen daisy's look as good as they do on your car, not bad at all
Did you have to bore out the center, or are you running spacers?
Good drop too!
Sooooo...what's going on under the hood there hmm?

besides the usual police harrasment stories for me having a honda? lol.
once you get a honda you face two main problems: everyone and their mother wants to go all fast & furious with ya *sighs*, or want to steal it from ya *double sigh*... so yeah, even when i don't stand them, i do my best to understand the police...
thanks! i want a daughter too (daddy's best friends), but i welcome a boy too... concerning the miata daisies i also was surprised on the outcome. they really came out looking good. yes i had to bore out the center, since the honda hub is 56mm and the daisies are 54mm...91B16AHB wrote:Welcome Eddie, first off, congrats on the baby...I've got a 16 month old daughter, and life couldn't be better right now, (although I will admit, time is always short) I've gotta say, I've never seen daisy's look as good as they do on your car, not bad at allDid you have to bore out the center, or are you running spacers?

drop is from the h&rs. i like the stance, but i would also love it if the drop were a bit more aggressive.
there's a dpfi d15b2 under the hood, and it's an automatic. soon to change... plans consist in dropping my b18ls with a b16 tranny...

Is not common to find a dude around here that loves metal plus likes hondas and work with them
.
Are fj still here or they moved to the states? Got a good price on the lines?

francisco got married last year and decided to move fjdistributors' operations to texas... which was a intelligent decision imho. here in the island he was kind of stuck, business was doing well but kinda stuck and limited in operation terms.el_jelly wrote:Are fj still here or they moved to the states? he's now a live and kicking, and getting better prices on stuff.
concerning the brake lines, yeah i got them for a steal
. but i can't tell how much, let's just say i got the price you would give to a friend and former employee
yay.

Ok, I asked because two weeks ago I got another close encounter with my brakes and had to change one of the hard lines, just by curiosity I checked on ebay and saw some good prices on ss braided lines kits (although some are no name brands). Last time I changed one of the front rubber lines I paid like $25-30 for a replacement in a local auto part store, I was in a hurry so didn't check around for better prices and obviously the oem would have cost way more.

Re: well... deddth has entered the building... lol.
getting them out is the easy part... getting them in, especially if they're es bushings, well that's anoher story.
to get them out of the rta, get a 2.5 lb or so hammer and hammer them out, just a couple blows actually. before you do anything make sure you clocked the position for the new bushing to go in, that's for he oem one. since mine is solid i felt no need to do so.
with the es bushings you have the reuse the oem bushing collar. you can either cut the rubber out of it or if you love to set things on fire (lol firefirefirefire!) a propane torch will do the trick.
make sure there's no rubber leftover on the collar and the bone. lube the bushing, and with help from another slip the bushing on the collar (not an easy feat). slip the bone. then hammer it back to the trailing arm and voilà, it's done.

update!
well i got this for the hatch:

yep, a dc integra center console with armrest. first half i gor it locally, the armrest part i got it from my buddy myhonda1 from d-series.org . the cig/ashtray part i got it from him as well.
price? dirt cheap, son.
the only thing is painting the armrest part from tan to black, but that's easy as cake.
will do that soon. first i gotta get the engine swap/manual conversion rolling.
