Gas pedal feeling.... loose?
I just bought a 91 civic hatch, and the gas pedal takes a little distance to actually feel like its getting gas. im pretty sure i need to adjust the throttle cable, but my question is, is there anything i should know or look out for, or is there something else that could be wrong?
and btw, im new here! (yes i checked the search function, i scoured- trust me)

greeting's fellow sother californian, welcome to the site .
as far as the pedal play , you can adjust it in car on the pedal assembly or under the hood just before the connection to the throttle body .
things to check for , exesive length (strech marks are a good sign) , bends ,frays . make sure the fasteners and what not are all there and secure .
a balance might be achieved between adjusting both sides to provide proper function
