91 honda civic radio problem!!

Hello everyone.

I'm Trying in install a radio in my Honda civic its a 91 no power options, not SI.
MY factory harness is a little block, and not long rectangle found in other Hondas...

I need to know how to.do this? And maybe I need to convert it over to rectangle?

Have you asked you local radio store for a converter of some kind to go in between your new head unit and the harness?

Yes. But my male end at the dash, isn't same. My civic is the STD, base model.

Are you installing an original stereo or aftermarket? If you do a google search for "91 civic stereo wiring diagram", it will pull up a bunch for you to go off of. That is how I got mine installed. I also have a DX. My plug was only hanging on by one wire from the previous owner butchering it with a horrible radio install.

After market...I kinda have it working, I gotta look up diagram.

for a low grade stereo or a oem replacement the stock harness will work . I personally have preferred to run my own speaker wires and splice into the proper lines for power , alt power , ground , etc.

it is more a personall prefrance than for me to use the stock gauge of wire , when i replace i use between a 12-18 gauge depending on its purpose .

Still having trouble, not working. I wanna get a stock cassette player.
Can any one send me pics of there wiring harness. Someone with a std model with 2 speakers?
