Bent Aluminum Wheels advice?

I have a set of bent aluminum Drag dr-19's They are 15" rims with Hancook tires. The tires have been worn for a while since I had seemingly endless front end troubles. Is it normal for larger rims to have a rough ride even when the tires are decent treat? The ride was rough from day one before being bent and the rims are a lot heavier than my steelies.

Is it worth trying to have them straightened... and is it safe? A lot of businesses around my area want your money and they wouldn't give a truthful answer.

I'm currently running steelies because I don't want to drop 450 on tires and find out I need new 400 dollars rims to fit them on and for what, I like the look but if I have to go through front end parts and deal with a rough ride, seems it's not worth it.

most aluminum wheels are cast which means when you try to straighten, they will crack and who ever does it typically won't replace it. Not worth it - run the steelies.
