9006 headlight bulbs
Just wondering what kind of bulbs you guys using right now beside stock? Anyone running HID kit conversion or just the bulbs w the blue coating on it ? I'm thinking to change mine but just not sure which route to go? I just want something whiter and brighter not crazy like HID . How about polarg, PIAA?

I work with car parts, mostly lights. You'll probably get the best result with a HID kit...just remember that the lamp wasn't made for it and that'll cause a lot of light dispersal.
The stock EDM lights are H4 + H1 and they're just hopeless. I could probably see better with a flashlight out the window.

PIAA, polarg, raybright and some others, all are good bulbs but to get really better lighting you will need to run their higher wattage models, most are above 75W, 85W or 100W and the increase in lumens (luminosity) will be noticed but the glare will also be a problem. Since their wattage is so high you will also have an increase in the electrical load of the car, our crap alternators are not so powerful so using higher wattage bulbs will only make them perform worse.
You can try a plug and play hid kit, just go with a 4300K or 5000K color temp and you will have all white, no bluish light and the luminosity of them will make you forget about halogens. I had a 4300K kit (low beams only) and after installing it I barely needed to use the high beams afterwards, the output was phenomenal (they were the normal 35W kit). Too bad the ballast don't lasted long.
