Frontpage Special #8 is truly something different. It is a 1988 Turbo Honda Civic build with LEGO. Builder is the 26 year old Marat from Chicago.
The detail on this build is incredible! It feautures Double wishbone suspension, steering, 4 cylinder DOHC turbo, 4 speed gearbox, front wheel drive, openable doors, hood, rear door and folding front seats
CIVIC4G.COM: Why did you choose to build a 4th gen Civic? Marat: This was my first LEGO car as adult. I wanted to build a car i like in real life, popular and affordable. There aren't many Lego affordable cars. Most of the people build Ferrari and Porsche. I wanted to build something completely different.

CIVIC4G.COM: What's your opinion on Honda's and Japanese cars? Marat: Generally I'm into japanese cars. Hondas are one of the best IMHO. I picked honda civic 1988 because it has all Honda features (suspension, front wheel drive, DOHC) yet it is small and boxy so it is easier to build from Lego.
One of my friends has a 2005 Civic. I have driven and enjoyed it. It was underpowered, but I liked the handling and ergonomics. I bet in 1988 Honda made less compromises and put in more potential for tuning.
CIVIC4G.COM: What kind of car do you drive? Marat: I drive 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX wagon.
