Which distributor is used for a Single cam ZC?

Postby d15b2ef9sir » Fri Feb 27, 2009 9:43 pm

I have a single cam ZC that I swapped into my 90 Civic DX hatch and am having problems with the engine only going up to 3,000RPM and cutting off. I replaced the distrebutor cause my ECU was giving a code 4 for the crank angle sensor which is built into the distributor and still having the same problem. The original distributor the engine had was an oem TD-2U. I bought a new one off ebay that is supposed to be a TD-2U and it looks exactly the same but is not marked TD-2U. I have seen that some D16A6 engines which is like the equivelant of the single cam ZC uses a TD-18U. Has anyone used a TD-18U on a single cam ZC and it run fine?

No, my engine is non VTEC. The Engine looks exactly like a D16A6 but on the block its just stamped ZC with some other numbers going vertical. The engine came out of a 1991 Honda CRX Si.
