i have never had to check the fuel pump before. where is it? its my 91 hatch...... when i get to abuot a 1/4 tank of gas it just stops running like it is out of gas.... no problems until its a 1/4 tank...then it bogs down like its running on fumes

you need to get one of hondas bible :D owners manual 8)

It's in the gas tank. You need to remove the back seat to get your hands on it.

now i did that and the only thing that was in there was a sensor type thing.

wrong...you need to drop the tank to get to the fuel pump. i had a similar problem...it was the pick up tube where the filter bag is. is wasnt long enough. sometimes the aftermarket fuel pumps they send you dont have the correct attachments.
if you only have 1/4 tank, then drop it without draining it. it will be ok.
use a jack.

Or if were the fuel pump pickups fuel is rusted, fuel won't accumulate there and when the fuel level is low it won't pickup fuel and the engine will shut off. If you are going downhill or take a corner/curve fast it will also happen.

Before replacing the pump remove the tank and check it, the problem could be it not the pump.

i dont want to start a new thread, so here it goes my whole car id acting up now...throttle is sticking lol, the new 14's i put on there rub like fukin crazy...the are a 195/60/14's.... i have another set of tires....185/60's but will that make a difference...i had to sell my rims to pay bills so i am stuck lol, and i have to find a jack big enough to lift my car...i hate not having friends here in fl lol....

you gotta get 50's. 60's are to fat if your lowered
