Re: need help
you will need the ecu , but easiest way is to modify the wagon harness to mpfi , then make the mods to go 0bd1 if you want you can run vtec on a switch or leave it for the ecu to trigger . trying to mate a different harness to your wagons factory harness will be a head ache but if your savy with the...

Re: 4th gen 5 speed to 5th or 6th gen engine.
your factory radiator will be fine . the spare harness will help but you have to modify your current one . there are good write ups for dpfi to mpfi conversions . again tho it will depend on what obd you want to run . but it can easly be added to your mpfi swap

Re: Transmission swap
cable drive d series transmissions have the same spline count . the changes are in the front spindles , 4speeds are different from 5 speeds again its the spline count . so you can swap the trans with out changing axels . if you change the spindles then you need the right axels to match . if memory s...

Re: 15b1 upgrades on my 1991 base hatch
differences between the b1 and b2 are a slightly different cam , the b1 has restrictor plates in the intake manifold , and the ecus are different . they are close but have different fuel curves due to different cams .
a common upgrade on the b1 is convert to mpfi and put a d16a6 or sohc zc cam in it

Re: 4th gen 5 speed to 5th or 6th gen engine.
if its a d series it will bolt straight up . only differences you have to overcome will be wiring depending on what motor you end up with . but the mounts are all the same . might need to switch the coolant elbow , to prevent a kink in the upper hose

Re: "Mini Me swap"?
z6 is one as previously stated a y8 head will also work but is obd2 versus the obd1 z6 . by swapping the whole motor you get to take advantage of the extra displacement a big .1 . i think you only gain 10-15 hp and tq by doing a mini me, so depends on the overall investment made for its worth .

Re: Cold Air Intake - Really?
A true cold air system like the one made by a.e.m. draws air from infront of the passenger wheel well going threw oem hole . The idea is that you still have inner fender Wells (black plastic ), thus creating a box to contain the filter. Had one on my first Rex cut a small hole In the factory slot of...
