Tchom 1991 Civic EE9

Post by Tchom »

Hello

Let me introduce myself.
My name is Tom, I live in Belgium and I now own a EE9 for about 2 years. After a long search I was able to buy my EE9. It was previously owned by a Swiss woman and then purchased by a German dealer. A Dutch dealer bought it from the German one and I bought it from the Dutch dealer. So in one way, I'm the 2nd owner of the car.

It now has 23x.xxx km's.

I have posted a lot of pictures, so get ready to scroll a lot :D

Here are some pictures of the car after I bought it.

After all the paperwork was done (which takes a looooong time in Belgium, in my case up to 4 months) I did some updates on the vtec.

I bought some spare parts that I might need some day.

2 NEW signal lights

2 sets of mud flaps. 1 from an EE9 and one from an EC8

The piece between the bumper and the lights

And a second i-VT skirts set

I also changed the brakes. I chose Brembo brake discs with Ferodo DS2500 brake pads

Next update: KW v1 coilover set

We also fitted some 16x8 et20 rims to see what the future may bring

The next thing we changed was the exhaust tip.

The design a friend of mine made:

The exhaust had to be modified in order to get the tip a bit sideways.

After replacing these items, I decided to do a restauration on the car. There was some rust on the rear wheel arches an also on the bottom of the car. So I decided to do something about it. Because I Always wanted to have a white EE9, I had it painted in OEM vtec frost white NH-538

Some pics with text of the process

Deconstruction of the car:

Beneath the floor carpet, everything looked OK. No rust visible :-)

The wheels. (I don't know the brand)
Wheel spec are: 15*6.5 ET38
Tire specs are: 165/55/15

How I bought them

And after the painting. OEM crx vtec Celestrial Blue Pearl

I also have the DOHC vtec decals on the door (not in the pics)

This winter the engine will be fitted with new rubbers etc...

Grtz fellow 4th-gen drivers!

To end my topic I have one little question.
I have the opportunity to buy an oem Honda Radio. The seller got it out of an ED model.
But can anyone tell me if this is the oem radio for the 4th gen?

Thanks a lot in advance!
