dude, thanks for the tip on the bumper lens... also, with the wings west kit, the grill comes pre-installed. If you see one w/o, they took it out.

Oh, I didn't know that. I wonder why anyone would want to take the grill out. If you just visualize it, it looks horrible. Have you ever thought of some clear sidemarkers Corran?

as for the gill, mine were taken out for the kits paint job, and then re-installed... knowing the half hearted job that so many people do with the civics, they probly never took the time to finish the job... thats the only reason i can think of....

as for the side markers, id love some... but i plan on getting wheels, and then an engine swap before i spend another cent on the body of that car...

actually, the only reason I did any body work at all, prior to rims and engine, is because i wrecked my car... Rather then pay to have the shop repair it to the factory state, i had insurance pay what it would cost to get the car back to oem quality, then swapped parts.... For example, those clear corners i have, to get the factory ones cost $102... those corners from APC ran me 20 even... New oem bumper - $94, Wings West bumper - $200...

actually saved me quite a bit...

Hello all,

I'm new to this forum. I currently own a '89 Civic DX (stock), but is considering buying a 2002 Honda Civic Si. I love the DX though, and I'm torn between fixing up my ride, or buying that Si. What do you think?

Anyway here are pics of my ride

With the money that will cost me a 2002 si I would buy an eg 2dr and modify the hell out of both, the ef and the eg. 8)

turn that mo fo in your driveway into a car that would SMOKE the 02 Si

put a sticker on it that says, "#1 grandma" on it and pull up to some rustang(mustang) and tell him u just changed the oil and that ur car feels faster, then laugh and just take off

Nothing wrong with the 2000 Si. I think it looks nice, and depending on what you want to do with it, it might be the right thing for you. It will be more expensive to mod, but you won't have to look as hard to find parts. I don't know where you got that car, but for being 14 years old, it still looks brand new. If you do anything as far as modding it, you'll need to either do a swap, or make it MPFI, (or turbo the DPFI - I've seen it done :) ) It's all up to how deep into your car you want to get.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Still not sure, how much would just a b16a swap be, starting with a stock dx? I'm looking at eBay for some engines. Any help?

Haha, speaking of rustangs, my friend has a 98 mustang, and thats kinda the reason I want to mod my EF, or buy that EP, so I could at least keep up with him 8)

Don't worry about it. Its overrated and overrun with post whores. It's mostly kids who don't know what they are talking about, but think they do.
